Layout of PhotoTrekker for an 8x10 LF camera
This is our present layout for an 8x10 large format camera. The pack just manages to accommodate our camera which measures 12" in width, and is 17" in height including the rail and function-carriers. We reduce the depth of the camera by removing the extension rail usually attached to our 30cm collapsing rail. We store the extension rail in the front pack pocket (not shown), and attach it when we are ready to set up. The camera rests on the focusing cloth and on the film holders. We usually carry 2-4 film holders. At the bottom-left of the picture, we have a small pocket to store our Toyo focusing loupe and our Gossen Starlight lightmeter. On the bottom-right we store our filters. We can remove the items in these pockets and place them in the translucent flap pockets when we carry extra lenses. The lenses will then fit in these padded recesses. Batteries and other small accessories go in the translucent pockets. The outer front pocket is large, and holds food, water, camera extension rail, insect repellant, and a large 3D-cell Maglite flashlight.
