Zoomify!
Here's a bit of fun. This is a panoramic picture of San Fernando captured with a large format camera using Fuji Astia F 4x5 film. You can click on parts of the picture to zoom in. You can also drag the picture around. The slider at the bottom gives the zoom, or magnification, factor. Although the film for this shot was scanned on an 'el cheapo' desktop scanner at 1600dpi, you can get an idea about the resolution of large format film, which exceeds all digital offerings to date. A drum scan would be ideal. Note that it takes a little while for the picture to update on an internet connection, so the picture goes blurry at first, then sharpens up.
