Trinidad Dreamscape: a reason for being?

Have you looked up "Trinidad & Tobago" in Google recently? We tried it, and what did we get? Well, a couple of "official" sites optimistically urging the searcher to "visittnt". As we perused these sites, we had to wonder about the power of telepathy. Surely, the government of Trinidad & Tobago believes in it. How else can they expect people thinking about visiting Trinidad to get any real information about what the place or the people are like? Perhaps the web designers have embedded subliminal patterns on their web pages to entice viewers to visit? We are still waiting for it to work on us!

With minimal information on the official websites, where else shall the eager traveller turn? To third-party websites like this one, and others that I have linked to on the Links page. The internet, irrespective of the views of some in academia, is a visual medium. In other words, people want pictures! Or at least a few photographs interspersed with a little text. Hopefully, this site, along with some others, can help viewers put together an overall view of life in Trinidad. This site is also for citizens of Trinidad & Tobago, past and present, who may have forgotten that Trinidad is still a beautiful place. In our neglect of the environment and of each other we have brought our country to the brink of an ever spiraling, horrible reality. Trinidad Dreamscape, notwithstanding the name, is another reality that, hopefully, we can share with you.
